Merseyside Today - Your Guide to Liverpool and Merseyside

THE GLOBE
LIVERPOOL CITY CENTRE
The Globe is a small pub located right bang in front of Central Station (train station). It is almost always rammed, so much that the happy drinkers are virtually standing in the road - pint in hand. The pub gets a lot of football fans on Saturday and therefore can be quite intimidating if you're not used to the Liverpool way of life (being called a 'dickead' in Liverpool is not as disrespectable as being called a dickead in other parts of the country).

The locals basically run this gaff so don't be surprised if you get a few stares. This place is not a place for the ladies night out - its far to sweaty and packed. Visit it if you're 'one of the lads', if not try somewhere else (preferably the 'Life' bar just around the corner on Bold Street), this place ain't for you. Fantastic beer though!
