MERSEYSIDE PUB GUIDE

BAA BAR
Seel Street, Liverpool City Centre
The original and arguably still the best pre-club drinking den in the city. When opened in the early nineties the bar became famous for its dour pretentiousness but not today. With a good mix of up-for-it clubbers, laid back regulars, students and the odd Versace fascist, the Baa Bar is definitely the place to be. Check out the bar midweek and Saturdays (very popular) when Stella Artois and some other selected beers are only a pound.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are a good nights to visit, as you can enjoy the atmosphere, but at midweek prices and with a seat. I wouldn't recommend it for a quiet drink at the weekend, especially on Cream nights when you'll be lucky to get in the door.
