One of the first Beatles albums in America and the fans couldn't get enough.  It was produced in 1963 and released on Vee Jay records.  After the first pressing of this album Vee Jay was forced to remove "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You" from the album because Capital controlled the copyrights to these 2 songs.  They were replaced with "Ask Me Why" and "Please Please Me"

It contained 12 tracks with only 6 of them being "McCartney-Lennon" compositions The other 6 were standard song of the early 1960's by various songwriters.

This album has become one of the most counterfeited albums of all time and an original is worth over $25,000.  Check out the collectibles page to see if you happen to have an original or how to tell if yours if a fake.
